Miracles stand out as divine endorsements of God’s sovereign rule over creation. The parting of the Red Sea, Jesus turning water into wine, and the miraculous feeding of thousands with a few loaves and fishes are but a few examples that highlight the limitless power of God.   These acts of divine intervention serve multiple purposes: they confirm the messengers of God, provide for God's people in miraculous ways, and above all, point to the Kingdom of God, inviting us to a deeper faith and understanding of His omnipotence. 

Since the day of Pentecost, as recounted in Acts 2:16, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit has enabled believers to prophesy, experience dreams, and see visions. This fulfillment of Joel 2:28 signifies a direct communication channel with the divine, accessible to all who have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Yet, the question arises—why do some of us not receive dreams or visions? Or if we do, why do we struggle to recognize them as messages from God? It's a journey of faith and openness to the spiritual gifts bestowed upon us, coupled with a prayerful request for wisdom to discern God's voice amidst the noise of our lives.

Before we step onto the battlefield, it's crucial that we arm ourselves. Just as a soldier wouldn't dare confront an enemy unarmed, we too must pick up our spiritual armor. Our sword? Prayer and fasting. This isn't about physical might; it's about spiritual strength. As intercessors, their sensitivity to the Holy Spirit enables us to fortify our defences, to stand ready against any onslaught. It is through their vigilant watch and fervent prayers that we find strength and protection in the heat of the battle.
